HOURS * hour working week with some evening and
weekend work.

DCTV is open to flexibility on how these hours are worked.

Fixed term for * months, subject to the
successful completion of a 6 month probation period. It is intended to
secure funding to enable the role to be long term but this is not
guaranteed

DURATION OF CONTRACT One year with capacity for extension (subject to
funding)

LOCATION Remote Working and outreach, with potential to establish DCTV
working space.

DCTV IS ESTABLISHING A_ _ROLE OF OUTREACH AND TRAINING COORDINATOR TO
BUILD OUR CAPACITY AS A COMMUNITY BROADCASTER. THIS ROLE IS A PROJECT
MANAGEMENT ROLE AND WILL BE ONE OF THE FIRST POSITIONS IN A NEW DCTV.

DCTV is one of only three community television channels in Ireland. We
provide opportunities for local groups to produce their own content
and broadcast to wider audiences, and we focus on the creation of
unique programmes that support participation and diversity.

This role will partner with NGOs and arts/culture organisations,
supporting them in exploring the content they have, helping them get
it ready for broadcast (from format, to subtitling to scheduling) and
assisting them in becoming part of DCTV.

The outreach and training coordinator will have a budget to bring in
expertise to fulfil certain roles within the project. Experience of
NGO/C&V/arts sectors is important and knowledge of media is an
advantage but not a requirement.

Our partner groups will act as a pilot which will allow us to roll out
this format to other groups. We will facilitate new content from this
diverse range of underrepresented groups, creating opportunities to
share their content with new audiences.

WE WILL ALSO WORK WITH THE GROUPS ON THE PROCESS OF CREATING THEIR OWN
CONTENT AND BROADCASTING IT. THIS PROCESS WILL INVOLVE:

* Outreach to partner organisations, understanding their set-up and
needs
* Facilitating groups to make content television ready,
* Consider existing video content with them and gather their
recommendations
* Facilitating curation, training, and contextualising.
* Supporting workshops in media literacy and television skills.
* Support delivery of workshops in regulatory and legal issues
* Researching the suitability of community groups, understanding
their priorities and needs, and ability to work with DCTV.
* Organising suitable training in preparing content for TV, and/or
setting the groups on the path to producing content,
* Introducing and organising training in community media, media
literacy.
* Support delivery of workshops in curation/ graphics (title safe
areas) and access services (subtitling etc.)
* Arrange networking and social events with all groups
* Support the broader development of DCTV

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

STRATEGY

* Work on the strategic development of DCTV and relevant partner
organisations through outreach, as detailed in the job description
* Implementation of outreach project

ADMIN

* Management of project logistics
* Assist in the identification of and application for relevant and
suitable funding, and adhere to funder requirements in relation to
outputs and reporting

COMMUNICATION & STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT & TRAINING

* Outreach to partner organisations, understanding their set-up and
